Day 1: Arrival

 Arrival at Zurich Airport. Activate your rail pass at Zurich station and board the train to Lucerne. Check in Hotel/Apartment in Lucerne. Visit Chapel Bridge and Lions Monument in the evening and sip a coffee at the lake front café. Overnight at Lucerne

 

Day 2: Zermatt

Proceed to Lucerne station after breakfast and board the fastest train to Zermatt. Zermatt is a car free village with traditional swiss houses seen across. Zermatt is at the foot of Matterhorn peak. Walk from Zermatt station to Matterhorn cable car station or take an electric taxi. Visit the Matterhorn peak and the ice grotto. Enjoy the vast expanse of snow along with an ice cream or a hot coffee on the peak. Hop to Zermatt station for train back to Lucerne. Overnight at Lucerne

 

Day 3: Jungfraujoch

Start early morning to board the train to Jungfraujoch from Lucerne. Be ready to hop trains as there is no direct train and always take the fastest train available. Reach Jungfrajoch via Interlaken, lauterbrunnen & Klein Scheidig. It is the highest point of Switzerland and a world renowned destination. Take the same train route back to Lucerne. Overnight at Lucerne

Day 4: Pilatus

Proceed to Lucerne station after breakfast and board the train to Alpnachstad. Get to Pilatus Bahn which is walking distance from Alpnachstad station. Take the steepest rack rail of the world to Mount Pilatus with 48 degree slope. Experience snow across the track and also keep your eyes  open for some antilopes. Reach the  top of mount pilatus and enjoy magnificient views with some snacks and yoghurt. On your way back, either take the cable car down to Kriens where you can find a bus back to Lucerne OR take the steep rail back to the base and board a boat at Alpnachstad to Lucerne. Overnight at Lucerne

Day 5: Interlaken

After breakfast proceed to Lucerne station and board the train to Interlaken OST, one of the most renowned places in switzerland. Enroute enjoy breathtaking wilderness and turqoise blue lakes. On reaching interlaken get ready for some adrenaline rush on Lake Breinz with a Jet Boat ride. Continue your day with some local cuisine like fondue, roesti and raclette. Shop for swiss bells and knives at Hoheweg. Enjoy Casino Kursaal. Board the train back to Lucerne. Overnight at Lucerne

Day 6: Titlis

Have breakfast and proceed to Lucerne station to board the train to Engelberg. Reach Engelberg and walk to Mount Titlis base. Enjoy a Vada pav from the base shop and proceed to your excursion on cable car to Mount Titlis. Experience rotair, rotating cable car ensuring panoramic views of the mountains and the beautiful valley of Engelberg. DDLJ was shot at Titlis. Enjoy optional rides and the café. Back to Engelberg station for train to Lucerne. Check out of Lucerne hotel and board the train to Zurich. Check in at Zurich hotel.

Day 7: Black Forest

After breakfast, proceed for a full day tour to Black forest, Germany. Visit black forest and the famous cuckoo clock making. Also view the Rhine valley and river bordering Swiss & Germany and witness the Rhine falls, the largest in Swiss. Take an optional boat ride taking you closer to the falls. Overnight at Zurich

Day 8: Departure

Take the train to Zurich Airport and board your flight home with some incredible memories
