Day 1: Arrival Zagreb

Meet your English speaking driver at the Zagreb airport, holding a welcome board with your name on it to transfer you to hotel Esplanade.

As you check in hotel Esplanade you will spend the evening at leisure.

 

Day 2: Full day tour Varazdin & Trakoscan castle

Depart on a full day tour of Hrvatsko zagorje (Zagreb’s hinterland).

Upon arrival enjoy your private tour of Varazdin – the city of baroque: Varazdin Castle (Stari Grad), Watch Tower, Sermage Palace, Lisak Tower, Town Hall, Draskovic Palace, Ritz House, Cathedral, Patacic Palace, Erdoy Palace.

Visit former residence of the Draskovic family, nowadays one of Croatia’s most beautiful castles and museums with preserved furniture and weapons from the period from the 15th to the 19th century.

 

Day 3: Zagreb – Plitvice Lakes National Park

This morning after leisure breakfast, transfer to Plitvice Lakes National Park.

After approximately 3 hours driving you will reach Plitvice Lakes, a specific geological and hydrogeological phenomenon of karst, with 16 bigger
and few smaller lakes, gradually lined up, separated by travertine barriers. UNESCO has declared it with all rights as the World’s natural inheritance. Ticket covers all routes including a train and boat ride in the park.

 

Day 4: Plitvice Lakes National Park – Split

Transfer to Split. Embark on a walking tour of Split.

Embark on a guided half-day tour of the city’s most coveted sights including Diocletian’s Palace, the city’s historic core and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Move towards the Peristil, the main courtyard. Here, you will find both the cathedral and the Temple of Jupiter, each of which is guarded by a black granite sphinx. Before exiting through the Golden Gate, the palace’s most opulent gate, you can wander through the alleyways to pursue the souvenirs sold by local artists and vendors..

 

Day 5: Split – Hvar – Split

This morning you will catch a ferry bringing you to the island of Hvar.

Hvar is famous for its well indented coast, clean beaches and plenty of sunshine, untouched nature, lavender odor, olives and wine.

A short drive along a dirt road leads to Malo Grablje, a small village abandoned decades ago. Upon arrival there will be a short walk through that picturesque village founded in the 16th century.

After Malo Grablje you will proceed to Velo Grablje and the next stop is Vidikovac with such a perfect view of the deepest bay on the island.
After the short stop the drive continues to the highest peak of the island, Saint Nicholas (626 m).

From the highest peak of the island you will have a 360 degree unobstructed view of the island and across to islands of Brac, Korcula and Vis. Below the high point of St.Nicholas on a sloping sunny hillside lies Sveta Nedija, a village surrounded with steep vineyards which are very difficult to tend. It is famous far and wide for the high quality red wine it produces from the plavac grape.

Continue along the north coast to Vrboska where we stop at Soline beach for relax and a swim.

As our Hvar Off-Road Tour comes to an end, you will be transferred back to Stari Grad where you will catch a ferry back to Split.

 

Day 6: Split – Korcula

Transfer to Korcula. Arriving Orebic, you will embark the ferry bringing you to Korcula island.
Check-in hotel Korsal, remainder of the afternoon spend free at leisure.

 

Day 7: Korcula – Dubrovnik

Transfer to Dubrovnik.

Enroute, you will have a stop on Peljesac penninsula at the Vukas winery.

After the private wine-tasting, continue your transfer to Dubrovnik. Arrive at Dubrovnik in the afternoon and enjoy free time at leisure.

 

Day 8: Dubrovnik

Take the entire day to explore Dubrovnik at your own pace. Rich with historical, cultural, culinary and natural sights, the day will be entirely yours to design. Step out through the gates to explore the seaside in the afternoon. Rent a kayak to catch a glimpse of this walled-city and the surrounding islands from the Mediterranean. Return to the Old Town for the eveningToday your guide will also take you into the Dubrovnik Cathedral and its treasury famous for its ancient relics including a fragment of the cross on which it is believed that Jesus was crucified.

 

Day 9: Dubrovnik Day at Leisure

Spend the day at leisure.

You may decide to visit island Lokrum (located just opposite to your hotel) where you can have a nice walk through the botanica garden, have a swim in the “Dead Sea” Further option is a cable-car drive to hill Srd from where you will be able to enjoy a wonderful view to Dubrovnik Old Town and surrounding islands.

Or simply relax, enjoy the sun and sea at Dubrovnik’s main beach Banje.

 

Day 10: Dubrovnik departure

Early this morning, meet your driver for a private transfer to Dubrovnik airport. Check-in your flight onward.
