DAY 01: BUENOS AIRES

Arrival in Buenos Aires. Reception at the Airport. Transfer to your Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

 

DAY 02: BUENOS AIRES (City Tour – Tango Show with dinner)

After breakfast pick up from your hotel lobby to see Buenos Aires.We will see the symbol of our city – The Obelisk, visit different city squares such as Plaza de Mayo, Plaza San Martín, and Plaza Congreso, and ride along several avenues such as Corrientes Ave., May Ave, 9 of July Ave., among others. The tour will take you to such historical neighborhoods as La Boca, San Telmo, and Montserrat, as well as the elegant neighborhoods of Palermo and Recoleta, and the modern Puerto Madero. We will visit some parks such as Lezama and Tres de Febrero, as well as the famous Football Stadium. After the tour return to the Hotel to rest and later get ready to go and enjoy of a beautiful Tango show at Complejo Tango which is located in the traditional neighborhood of Balvanera, an old place of poets and compadritos: Complejo Tango lodges 1200m that breathes Tango in every corner.

Built in 1895 and following the age details, the house amazes with its huge lounge of oak floors, the blocksmithing of its conventillo balconies and the luxury of its academic rooms. Accompanied by an orchestra of renowned maestros, every evening a distinguished cast of professional dancers and singers employ their art to narrate the history of tango in five memorable scenes that provide the perfect after-dinner entertainment.

DAY 03: BUENOS AIRES (Tigre & Delta Tour)

Breakfast. Pick up from your Hotel Lobby to leave Buenos Aires City heading for the town of Tigre, one hour away, where we will board a tourist boat to navigate along Delta and its islands. The life of the “isleños” (people who live on the islands of the Delta) is very special. We will learn about their customs, culture and ways of life. On the way back to Buenos Aires city we will drive by the elegant residences of the well-off, located in the northern suburbs, and the San Isidoro neighborhood. Additionally, you will also get a glimpse of the Presidential Residence (Quinta de Olivos) as we pass it by. Afternoon at leisure.

 

DAY 04: BUENOS AIRES / SALTA

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Salta. Reception at the Airport. Transfer to your Hotel.

 

DAY 05: SALTA (Tour to Humahuaca Gorge)

Early in the morning after breakfast we will go to visit the Quebrada de Humahuaca which is is situated in the west of Jujuy Province, 126 km away from Horacio Guzmán International Airport, which is located in San Salvador de Jujuy City, capital city of the Province; and at 2,939 meters above the sea level, on the right verge of Nº 9 National Road. Due to the uneven topography of this land, the region presents rather different climates: high temperatures (38ºC) are registered during the day, while considerable lower temperatures are registered at night ( -10º) , and this changes according to the season. This is a colonial city: it worth walking narrow paved streets with streetlamps and adobe houses made Humahuaca one of the most important trade centers of Alto Perú until the end of the XIX Century. Worldwide known due to the imposing Quebrada de Humahuaca, professed as Humanity Heritage by UNESCO, shows a heavenly landscape where Río Grande flows and where great archaeological beds are found in colorful hills. In this region, tourists get in touch with Hispano-America roots in a landscape made of valleys and narrow paths where Indigenous and Spanish cultures merged.

 

DAY 06: SALTA (Tour Safari to the Clouds)

After breakfast, prepare to know the most amazing train , it will take you on an adventure with the ultimate stop being the clouds. You will go up 4200 meters which will entail a journey of 434kms to get there and back again. It is one of the three tallest trains in the world that goes in and out and traverses through the mountains of the Andes in between spectacular views all the way. You go through part of the city of Salta and traverse in the valley of Lerma so that you can go and see the spectacular colours and then arrive at la Puna. Called Train to the Nubes because of its high altitude, a lot of the time you can see clouds below the train tracks. The amount of curlers, viaducts, tunnels and other windings that appear are all part of the work of the amazing Engineer, Richard Maury who built the train and train tracks bearing in mind the laws of physics, creating a mechanical system that is commonly used for railway formations with reliability that helps them climb such heights. It does not use gears, even for the steepest parts of the climb, because the tracks are arranged in a peculiar way running through a system of zigzags and spirals.

 

DAY 07: SALTA / SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA

Early morning transfer to the Bus Station for your trip to Atacama (12 hs). This is a spectacular journey across the Andes into Chile. Arrival and transfer to your hotel

 

DAY 08: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA (Archeological tour – Moon Valley)

Breakfast. Early in the morning archeological tour around San Pedro de Atacama: includes visit to Gustave Le Paige Archeological Museum and its interesting collection concerning the evolution of atacamenian culture: the Square, Church and colonial house. Excursion to Pukará de Quitor XII Century Atacamenian fortress, last bastion against the army of the Conquistadors. Proceed toward the Valley of the Moon an extraordinary landscape similar to that on the moon. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

 

DAY 09: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA (Tour to Geysers de Tatio)

Early start (4:30) lto Tatio Geysers situated at 4.300 meter above sea level. Breakfast at the Geysers. Comprehensive trip through the valley, observing main types of geothermal activity (boiling water holes, geysers, hot clays and steam jets). Includes a brief on the geological structure of El Tatío. Return to the Hotel. Overnight.

 

DAY 10: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA (Tour to Chuquicamata / SANTIAGO DE CHILE

Breakfast. In the morning visit the Chuquicamata mine, the largest open cast copper mine in the world, visit the town workings and industrial plants. Return and transfer to the airport for your flight to Santiago de Chile.

Arrival in Santiago and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

 

DAY 11: SANTIAGO DE CHILE (City Tour)

Breakfast. We will have a half day excursion visiting the most important places such as Santa Lucía and San Cristóbal Hill, residential and commercial districts. Afternoon at leisure or we can offer a visit to the most important shopping Center in Santiago.

 

DAY 12: SANTIAGO DE CHILE (Tour to Maipo Valley and Undurraga Winery)

Breakfast. About 45 minutes from Santiago city, we will know one of the most important places in the Central Area, the Maipo Valley, where is located The Undurraga Winery, with its five generation history that impregnate the place, its family park, the modern winery factory and its incredible romantics subterranean wine cellars where we share a wine glass with some of the best reserve wine from the winery. Wine Tasting included. Later, in the Coast way we will take pleasure in Pomaire where we will have a direct contact with the Chilean tradition and customs, in this little and picturesque town the handcraft in clay express their people life style.

 

DAY 13: SANTIAGO DE CHILE – END OF THE TOUR

Breakfast. Check out and transfer to the airport.
